The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and delivering complex, high-impact technology projects across the organization. With a strong emphasis on strategic alignment, data-driven decision-making, and technical fluency, this role ensures that all initiatives are executed efficiently, within scope, on time, and with measurable business value—particularly in blockchain and crypto-related environments.
3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
Leadership & Strategic Oversight
- Lead cross-functional teams with inspirational leadership, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Partner with the Head of Products to ensure strategic alignment of all project goals with broader business objectives.
- Drive data-centric project execution, leveraging analytics for planning, performance monitoring, and improvement.
Project Management & Delivery
- Oversee the simultaneous execution of multiple large-scale projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Establish robust systems for project tracking, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Define realistic timelines, milestones, and priorities in collaboration with tech and product leads.
- Continuously assess risks and apply data-driven mitigation strategies.
Vendor Management
- Manage external vendors with authority and precision, ensuring adherence to SLAs and contractual obligations.
- Negotiate and enforce agreements, including penalties for non-compliance.
- Monitor vendor performance through data and metrics to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
Planning, Prioritization & Decision-Making
- Define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria in line with product and business needs.
- Apply data-driven methods to estimate effort, allocate resources, and prioritize tasks.
- Make timely, informed decisions, particularly in high-pressure or complex environments.
Technical Collaboration
- Collaborate with tech leads and the Head of Products to understand architectural dependencies, technical risks, and bottlenecks.
- Facilitate issue resolution with technical teams to ensure seamless project execution.
4. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Regular interaction with Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams to drive project delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Serve as a key liaison between business and technology teams, translating business needs into executable project plans.
- Report progress, challenges, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- PMP, Agile, or other project management certifications (preferred).
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in IT project management, ideally in the tech, blockchain, or crypto industries.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale technical projects from inception to completion.
- Experience in vendor management, including SLA enforcement and performance analysis.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong familiarity with blockchain ecosystems, smart contracts, wallets, DEXs, and staking platforms (preferred).
- Excellent understanding of project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
- High-level organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage detailed project timelines, dependencies, and resources.
- Strong decision-making ability based on data and performance metrics.
- Experience with technical problem-solving and stakeholder alignment in fast-paced environments
