Job Title: Commercial Data Analyst

Location: Santa Monica, CA (Hybrid: Onsite Mon–Thurs, Remote Fridays)

Contract Duration: 3 Months

Pay Rate: $35/hour (W2)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Commercial Data Analyst to support the analytics team within the catalog division. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic marketing, e-commerce, and A&R efforts by leveraging data insights across legacy music assets.

Responsibilities:

• Build concise and insightful reports to track business and marketing performance
• Perform detailed retail and internal data analysis to support advertising and promotional investments
• Utilize SQL and Python to extract, transform, and manage data from various sources
• Present findings and actionable insights to internal stakeholders and leadership teams
• Support strategic projects across marketing, finance, e-commerce, and direct-to-consumer initiatives
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualization tools for reporting needs

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Domo, etc.)
• Basic scripting in Python
• Ability to communicate data-driven insights to non-technical audiences
• Strong attention to detail and curiosity for analytics
• Interest in the music or entertainment industry is a plus

Work Environment:

• Hybrid schedule: Onsite in Santa Monica Monday through Thursday
• Remote Fridays with early closure at 1 PM during the summer
• Collaborative and cross-functional team culture with hands-on support from senior leadership

Interview Process:

• Two-round process: initial virtual interviews with leadership, followed by a final onsite meeting in Santa Monica
