Senior Frontend Engineer - Autonomous Agents - Starfleet

About the Team: The Starfleet team builds systems powering xAI’s next leap—self-driven AI that thinks, acts, and learns. The team is small, cross-functional, and focused on delivering essential tools for researchers and agents. About the Role: Responsibilities include crafting high-performance frontends in React/Typescript to control and monitor autonomous agents, designing intuitive UIs for complex data, collaborating with full-stack and AI teams to ship features, pushing boundaries of real-time data-rich interfaces, and innovating tools for AI understanding. Exceptional candidates may have experience delivering standout UIs in fast-paced startups, working with data-heavy or real-time systems, and some knowledge of Python or systems design. Tech Stack includes Typescript, Python, Rust, React, Express, PostgreSQL. Location: Based in the Bay Area (San Francisco and Palo Alto), candidates should be located near or open to relocation. Interview Process: Includes CV review, a 15-minute phone interview, followed by four technical interviews covering coding, frontend technical skills, systems hands-on problem solving, and a presentation of past work and vision. Interviews are conducted via Google Meet.
