Lucid Motors is looking for a talented Android UI/UX Senior Software Engineer to help build the world's best automotive infotainment system. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining Android apps for in-vehicle infotainment systems; collaborating with UX/UI designers to define and refine user-facing features; implementing software using platform frameworks and SDKs; working with platform engineers to optimize system responsiveness; diagnosing and resolving issues; integrating multimedia features such as audio/video playback, navigation, and connectivity; securing user data and ensuring privacy; debugging and optimizing performance and system stability; staying current with Android development trends; collaborating with hardware and firmware teams for seamless integration; documenting code, system architecture, and user guides; and adhering to automotive infotainment standards and regulations. Basic qualifications include 5+ years of development experience in Java, Kotlin, or Swift; 4+ years on Android or similar platforms; 3+ years designing, testing, maintaining, or launching commercial software products; and a BS or MS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is preferred. Bonus points for familiarity with Android Studio, Android SDK, software design patterns, test-driven development, test automation, and version control systems like Git.
