AI Data Specialist (Contract)

As an AI Data Specialist at Notion, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our machine learning models' accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for annotating and labeling large volumes of data with high precision and consistency. This role requires a unique combination of rigorous thinking, strong reading comprehension, and exceptional attention to detail. This is a 3 month minimum contract, 40 hours a week, and in person Monday - Thursday in SF. It is open to extension or conversion based on business need. Responsibilities include annotating and labeling data accurately and efficiently to train and improve machine learning models; reviewing, validating and editing data for quality and accuracy, identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies; partnering with engineering on the development of new features, utilizing knowledge of customer feedback and patterns; collaborating with marketing, CX, and Sales to understand model capabilities and suggested usage; working closely with the engineering team to understand labeling requirements and guidelines; and providing feedback to improve data collection and annotation processes. Skills needed include ability to think rigorously and make nuanced, product and user centric, tasteful decisions; excellent reading comprehension skills to understand and interpret complex texts; exceptional attention to detail, maintaining high accuracy and consistency in tasks that require careful review; and ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
