Data Engineer

Our global tech client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their team on a 6 month contract basis to support cloud-based data transformation and analytics initiatives across a complex, enterprise-scale environment.

This is a flexible hybrid role with limited onsite requirement (ideally in their Cork office).

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines across Azure (Data Factory, Synapse) and AWS platforms
• Design and implement scalable ETL processes using Python and SQL
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure clean, reliable data
• Work on cloud data infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases
• (Bonus) Leverage Alteryx where appropriate to streamline workflows and data prep

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and AWS tools
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data transformation and automation
• Comfortable working in a cloud-native, fast-paced environment
• Experience with Alteryx is a plus but not required
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
