About The Role

We are looking for a driven and collaborative DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering Excellence team, the enablers of modern engineering at the Nordics’ leading insurer.

This is more than a “pipelines and infra” role: you will coach, mentor, and empower squads, drive the adoption of DevOps and software best practices, and help build a sustainable, learning-focused tech culture.

As part of Engineering Excellence, your contributions will include:

• Coaching and supporting squads to adopt DevOps, test automation, cloud, and security best practices.
• Defining, documenting, and scaling standards for software quality, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and technical alignment.
• Facilitating knowledge sharing, training and workshops to upskill engineers, foster a growth mindset, and build trust.
• Enabling a culture of collaboration, open feedback, and psychological safety—helping teams work together smarter and safer.

About The Team

As a DevOps Engineer in Engineering Excellence, you will help set the technical direction for our new cloud-based core systems and enable squads to deliver faster, safer, and more independently. You will collaborate across multiple teams and tech stacks, ensuring technical alignment and consistency, and supporting squads as they modernize their ways of working.

Who You Are

You are a solution-oriented, collaborative engineer who understands that DevOps is as much about people and culture as it is about technology.

You thrive in cross-team environments, enjoy helping others succeed, and communicate technical ideas clearly.

You are passionate about continuous improvement and always seek new ways to optimize processes and empower your colleagues.

You also have:

• A degree in a tech-related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role (software development/system administration)
• Expertise in the Azure cloud platform is essential; familiarity with AWS or GCP is a plus
• Understanding of containers and orchestration, especially Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Strong scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell and Bash; knowledge of Python is beneficial
• Experience with CI/CD tools - Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) and automation
• Good understanding of networking and security in a cloud context
• Previous experience with coaching, documentation, and enabling teams is a strong advantage
• Certification in Azure DevOps or Azure Administrator is a plus
