Software Engineer in Test L4 - Publishing and Fan Engagement Technology

Publishing and Fan Engagement Technology Engineering connects the digital and physical worlds by building technology that creates exciting experiences to inspire and connect fans. We support Netflix Consumer Products and Netflix Publishing by developing innovative platforms that deepen fan engagement and help build stronger connections with our audience. This team closely partners with Product Management, UX Design, Data Scientist, Consumer Research, other Software Engineering teams, and various publicity and consumer products business teams to bring fan engagement to the next level.

About The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test L4 who is excited about working with developers, product managers, and designers. Your mission is to help us design and execute a high-quality test strategy as we create technology that powers innovative consumer experiences for Netflix’ global fan base.

This role is based in Warsaw, and we use a hybrid-working model.

• Design and implement testing strategies and processes by collaborating with product engineering to understand requirements, workflows, software, and system interdependencies.
• Test releases, capture issues, identify improvements, and work with partner teams to ensure our core integrations, applications, and services are operating efficiently.
• Enable automation for regression tests covering a wide area of functionality in our full-featured consumer and internal facing web applications and more (preferred programming languages - JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Java).
• Continuously test and support our products, to ensure continued stability.
• Drive improvements to the QA process based on customer and developer needs.
  
  

We Would Love To Work With You If

• You have experience creating automated software testing processes across multiple platforms (web and desktop applications, back-end), and building and executing test plans that cover a wide range of testing (functionality, usability, compatibility, and regression).
• You are strategic in your testing approach and can collaborate with stakeholders to determine the balance between release velocity and impact on the user experience.
• You have strong communication and collaboration skills and can clearly capture issues using bug-tracking software.
• You have technical curiosity and are ready to help across the team and learn new skills.
• You have problem-solving, troubleshooting, and thinking out-of-the-box skills.
• You have a strong drive for understanding the applications you test, identifying issues, and digging in deeper to gain a better understanding versus just running through a list of things to check.
• You have an attention to detail and a strong drive to sustain quality, not just in the software part - but in the whole software development life cycle (improving processes, documentation, and specifications, taking care of tickets, etc.).
