eNGINE is hiring a SOC Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. This person will play a critical role in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events, alerts, and incidents for our clients. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, communicative, and passionate about cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to security alerts, events, and incidents in alignment with defined procedures.
  • Accurately log and document all activity in ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar).
  • Perform initial triage and analysis to assess threats and escalate when necessary.
  • Identify potential vulnerabilities in customer environments and recommend improvements.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
  • Operate, implement, and maintain security tools and solutions (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus).
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOC documentation, processes, and runbooks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies, procedures, and privacy standards.
  • Deliver clear, professional communication to clients—both written and verbal.

What You Bring:

  • A genuine passion for cybersecurity and a strong desire to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills—especially when translating technical findings to clients.
  • Basic understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Bonus Points (Preferred, Not Required):

  • Exposure to or experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Experience as a System or Network Administrator.
  • Familiarity with technical security solutions like firewalls, SIEMs, IDS/IPS.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing tools and security frameworks (e.g., PTES, Defense in Depth).
