Role Responsibilities

Design and implement OpenShift-based applications and environments.
Manage container orchestration with Kubernetes.
Monitor and optimize system performance and uptime.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in OpenShift clusters.
Automate deployment processes for continuous integration and delivery.
Collaborate with development teams for seamless application deployment.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal clients on OpenShift.
Document procedures and configurations for knowledge sharing.
Conduct training sessions for staff on OpenShift best practices.
Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning tasks.
Ensure security compliance within OpenShift environments.
Integrate third-party services and APIs into the OpenShift platform.
Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies.
Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution.
Stay updated with the latest OpenShift and Kubernetes developments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an OpenShift Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of OpenShift and Kubernetes architecture.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools.
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools.
Solid understanding of Linux system administration.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
Certifications in OpenShift or Kubernetes are a plus.
