Data Analyst - Creative Storytelling & Design

About the role

In this role, you’ll join a dynamic and passionate data and delivery team. You will work directly with purpose-driven organisations to explore and map data, design intuitive visuals, and support impact measurement. You’ll bring your analytical skills, storytelling ability, and eye for design to create engaging experiences on the Seer Data Platform.

You’ll contribute to a wide range of projects—from place-based initiatives led by community and/or Government, to impact measurement for both small to medium not-for-profits, and philanthropic portfolios. This role puts you at the centre of meaningful change—building strong relationships, coordinating initiatives, and ensuring our work reflects our values and obligations. Collaborating with internal and external teams, you’ll translate data into actionable insights, strengthen evaluation frameworks, and help deliver high-quality visually appealing projects.

The successful applicant for this position will ideally work from our Sydney CBD office in a hybrid work arrangement to be negotiated during the interview process. However, this is not a strict requirement for excellent candidates.

About you

• You have well developed analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• You have excellent data storytelling skills with the ability to translate data and insights for a range of audiences.
• You have strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities, along with a passion for the for-purpose sector.
• You have a keen eye for design and understanding of user experience principles.
• You can create exceptional design assets in platforms such as Figma and/or Canva.
• You bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and have experience managing projects in dynamic settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Meeting with customers (primarily via video) to understand the problems they are trying to solve and devising design solutions to assist.
• Proactively support customers to tell data stories and support them with analytical work for impact measurement.
• Working with customers to explore and map data, track impact, and identify new data sources to fill information gaps.
• Building the data capability and data literacy of our customers so that they can access and use data themselves within the Seer Data platform.
• Contributing to the development and delivery of training courses and modules for the Seer Learning Lab and customers.

Salary range: $80,000-$100,000 per annum, plus super.
