About The Role

As a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you will have the opportunity to lead teams of software engineers, QA and other resources to build Big Data Pipelines, Data Marts and Analytical products on public cloud that serves majority of US hospitals, providers and payers. The position will require direct management of on-shore and off-shore engineers. The manager will also be required to provide any technology guidance and coaching to the members of the team. The manager will also be responsible to provide effective communication to business stakeholders on product schedule and risks.

We expect our engineering managers to be tech leaders and be hands on to be able to code as needed. This position will also be required to come up with architectural proposals and work with other architects in broader teams to ensure right technology decisions are made which is in line with enterprise strategy. We are working with modern technologies like Java, Spring Boot, AWS, GCP, Spark/Scala, Elastic Search, Kubernetes, Kafka, Gen AI, ML models to build the next generation of our products and infrastructure

Primary Responsibilities:         

• Take complete ownership of the team and products. Lead team of software engineers, data engineers, and QA
• Work with product management to prioritize deliverables and manage sprints and releases
• Provide technical leadership in architecture and design for software development in the private/public cloud (AWS/Azure) and Big Data
• Coach and mentor engineers
• Collaborate with teams based in India & the US.
• Ensure that right technology decisions are made which are in line with enterprise strategy
• Collaborate with other architects in organization to learn software best practices and share it with the team
• Ensure that good quality software is delivered by the team and take necessary proactive actions to reduce risks
• Ensure that adequate knowledge transfer is done within team members
• Ensure that all members in the teams stay motivated and engaged
• Be hands on and be able to code as needed

Required Qualifications: 

• Demonstrable experience leading Agile Delivery Teams
• Strong technical knowledge with Python, Java, Microservices, Spark/Scala, Kubernetes, Kafka, ElasticSearch, and AWS
• Experience in Machine Learning Frameworks and Libraries (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, MLflow, Keras, XGBoost)
• Experience with big data technologies, such as Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS AI services (Bedrock, SageMaker) and/or Azure OpenAI Service
• Experience developing platforms, leading a platform development experience and data analytics platforms
• Proven experience in developing and deploying LLM-powered applications in production
• Ability to work a portion of monthly work hours from our Dublin or Letterkenny office is required
• Experience in CI\CD environments with Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub and Containerization 
• Full stack knowledge, from development to deployment and database technologies through to front end frameworks preferably in Java or Python

•    Experience with SQL, relational and graph databases 
•    Experience with messaging systems 
•    Experience in the health care industry
