Android Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs (RESTful, JSON, GraphQL).
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Follow Android development best practices including Material Design, Jetpack libraries, MVVM architecture, and dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Hilt or Dagger).

Skills Required:

• Proven software development experience and Android skills development.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and different versions of Android.
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications (Firebase, etc.).
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Experience integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Play Store publishing processes and app store guidelines.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Android application development.
