Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer, to oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our core IT infrastructure, consisting of 200+ servers across multiple environments. The role requires deep expertise in Microsoft, VMware, backup, storage, and security technologies to ensure high availability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will lead a small team, collaborate with vendors, and support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.

About the Role

Infrastructure Operations & Management

• Manage and maintain an Active Directory (AD) forest with multiple domains across Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, along with Linux server environments.
• Ensure high availability and optimal performance of VMware ESXi and Hyper-V virtualized environments.
• Administer and manage VxRail infrastructure, including deployments and upgrades.
• Oversee storage administration, including Pure Storage and SAN Switch management.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) for identity and access management.
• Configure and monitor Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networks.
• Administer and oversee IIS servers and Microsoft Enterprise Certificate Services.

Responsibilities

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Oversee Veeam Backup and ExaGrid Storage for secure data backup, retention, and compliance.
• Implement and test Disaster Recovery (DR) using Zerto for critical infrastructure resilience.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with industry best practices for patching, hardening, and securing core infrastructure.
• Collaborate with InfoSec teams to enforce security policies and monitor infrastructure threats.
• Administer and manage Sectona Privileged Access Management (PAM) to securely log in, monitor, and interact with critical infrastructure nodes.

Performance Optimization & Automation

• Continuously assess and improve infrastructure performance and reliability.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting and infrastructure management tools.
• Implement proactive monitoring solutions utilizing
• Manage Engine Endpoint Central and other relevant tools.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with vendors for procurement, licensing, and escalations related to hardware, software, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, application owners, and business units to align infrastructure with business needs.
• Provide recommendations for technological upgrades and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Technology, or related field.
• 6-7 years of experience.

Required Skills

• Strong background in VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and Dell VxRail administration.
• Proficiency in storage management, including Pure Storage and SAN Switches.
• Expertise in implementing and managing Veeam Backup, ExaGrid, and Zerto disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with networking and security concepts.
• Knowledge of cloud-based virtualization solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
