DevOps Cloud Developer (32495)

What You'll Do:

• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure in AWS using IaC tools such as Terraform
• Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters, supporting application scaling, deployment, and orchestration
• Develop, refine, and maintain event-driven data pipelines using modern tools and practices
• Implement and manage Argo Workflows to automate and orchestrate complex jobs and services
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design APIs, optimize database performance, and ensure service resilience
• Support CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for rapid, secure deployments
• Monitor production systems using Grafana and related tools to ensure performance and uptime
• Champion cybersecurity compliance, disaster recovery planning, and DevOps best practices
• Participate in architectural reviews and promote continuous improvement within the development lifecycle
• Provide mentorship and conduct peer code reviews to uphold code quality and team alignment

Your Toolkit Should Include:

• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, S3, RDS, CloudFront, SQS, SES
• Strong Python and SQL development skills (preferably PostgreSQL and Alembic for migrations)
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, Linux-based environments, and reverse proxies like Nginx
• Familiarity with Argo Workflows, and optionally Apache Airflow or similar tools
• Experience with ETL/ELT workflows and tools such as DBT or Kafka
• TDD (Test-Driven Development) and Git-based workflows in Agile Scrum teams
• Proven ability in system monitoring and observability using Grafana or equivalent

Bonus Points For:

• Bilingualism in French and English
• Exposure to GIS systems (GeoTIFF, GeoJSON, Titiler, QGIS)
• Domain experience in aerospace, geospatial, or remote sensing fields

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend/cloud/DevOps roles
• Legally entitled to work in Canada and eligible for Government of Canada security clearance
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
