Position Overview

This role involves supporting the setup, installation, maintenance, and business-as-usual (BAU) operations of network projects. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled and experienced network architect and implementation engineer with expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures that support business operations. The candidate should have a deep understanding of network architecture, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of network systems.

Responsibilities

• Setup, install, and maintain network infrastructure for critical applications, particularly in high-demand environments.
• Develop and implement comprehensive network architecture solutions that ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.
• Deploy network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices, ensuring proper configuration and performance tuning.
• Implement and manage robust network security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Monitor network performance, identify issues or bottlenecks, and apply optimization strategies.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and timely resolution of network-related issues, collaborating with internal IT and other departments.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of network configurations, standards, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with IT professionals, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of network systems.
• Carry out regular BAU tasks, including proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Coordinate with vendors for incident management and technical support.
• Utilize ITSM tools and adhere to associated processes.
• Promote continuous improvement and deliver value-added initiatives.
• Foster strong working relationships with business units and provide expert technical guidance and solutions.

Experience Required

• 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management services.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in network architecture, installation, and maintenance.
• Proficient in Cisco network management and administration.
• Demonstrated success in designing and deploying large-scale network infrastructures.
• Solid experience with network security frameworks and technologies.
• Proficient with network monitoring and performance enhancement tools.
• Skilled in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.
• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Proven hands-on experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy).
• Previous work with infrastructure projects in BFSI or regulated industries is a plus.
• Experience with global delivery models including offshore/onsite collaboration.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in network design and architecture.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and other security technologies.
• Skilled in using network performance and monitoring tools.
• Proficient in managing routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Understanding of network virtualization and cloud-based networking solutions.
• Scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Familiar with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

Soft Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal and client management skills.
• Experience implementing mid to large-scale infrastructure or container-based projects.
• Ability to work hands-on with infrastructure tools and processes.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
• Willingness to work in 24x7 environments, including on-site data center visits.
• Strong collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are mandatory.
• Certifications in network security or cloud networking are a plus.
• ITIL certification preferred.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint) is required.
