Kotlin Multiplatform (iOS) Developer

What is the project, and why should you care?

This is an innovative AI-driven personal assistant platform designed to function as a “second brain,” helping users capture, organize, and analyze their life experiences.

We are currently developing an MVP that will include voice recording, transcription, and data analysis, with a long-term vision of evolving into a personalized digital twin.

Our team is seeking experienced professionals to help build this AI solution from scratch.

You will be an excellent fit for this position if you have:

• 5+ years of proven experience in mobile development
• 2+ years of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) experience, including Compose Multiplatform for UI
• 3+ years of iOS development (Swift / Objective-C), with solid SwiftUI or UIKit skills
• Strong Kotlin skills, including Coroutines and Flow for async programming
• Unit testing experience
• Familiarity with iOS app publishing (App Store provisioning, certificates, release process)
• Experience with modern architectures: MVI, MVVM, and multi-module project setups
• Shared codebase collaboration with Android developers
• Native integrations: Bluetooth, Microphone, local file system, encryption/decryption
• Persistent storage: SQL (SQLDelight, Room), Key-Value (Multiplatform Settings)
• Comfortable with REST APIs, JSON
• Tooling: Firebase, CI/CD (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, GitLab), Git workflows
• Experience integrating Kotlin/Native libraries in Xcode
• Familiarity with Supabase
• Familiarity with GCP/AWS
• Familiarity with iOS and Android applications integration (e.g. Calendar, Contacts, Health apps, etc.)
• Experience with OAuth authorization
• Familiarity with integrating on-device ML models (e.g., Whisper app)
• Experience working with voice data: speech recognition, transcription, or natural language processing (e.g., integrating Whisper, DeepSpeech, or third-party APIs like OpenAI, AssemblyAI)
• Comfortable consuming and integrating AI/ML APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Google ML Kit, Azure Cognitive Services)
• Basic understanding of privacy-first AI practices (data minimization, local inference, encryption)
• Interest in working alongside AI engineers to enable interactive assistant features or digital twin development
• Responsible vibe-coding is appreciated

Here are some of the things you’ll be working on:

• Integrate and maintain Kotlin Multiplatform modules in the iOS project
• Implement iOS-specific UI and features where needed using Swift/SwiftUI/UIKit
• Ensure smooth interoperability between KMP and iOS code (e.g., coroutines, expect/actual declarations)
• Set up and maintain iOS build configurations, provisioning profiles, and code signing
• Prepare and submit builds to TestFlight and the Apple App Store
• Monitor app performance and crash reports from App Store Connect
• Collaborate with the Android developer to ensure consistent functionality across platforms
