Founding Full Stack Engineer - AI Product (Typescript)

We have an incredible opportunity for an ambitious and product-minded Senior or Lead Engineer to join the foundational team of a Sydney based startup that’s already gaining major traction.

You’ll be the go to engineer, working closely with a driven core team to build out the software and shape the technical direction with direct impact on the product’s success.

You’ll be hands on across the stack which is all TypeScript using React, Node.js, and AWS. Ideally, you’ll lean towards backend and infrastructure, or be comfortable contributing 50/50 across the full stack, as this area needs some focus for scale. You’ll work directly with the founders and advisors, making critical technical decisions and driving real impact from day one!

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Full Stack experience across React, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS
• Confident with backend design, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
• Bonus points for Python experience or familiarity with AI/ML tools
• Proven track record in early stage startups or greenfield projects (essential)
• A keen and obvious interest in AI
• Based in Sydney & comfortable with a flexible, hybrid (flex-first) working model, collaborate in person but also get your head down at home in projects!
• Equity motivated

As a foundational engineer, you’ll have real responsibility and influence, working on greenfield technology in a small, fast moving team. Decisions happen quickly, autonomy is high, and your impact will be visible from day one.
