Wood has an immediate opening for an Integrity Engineer to join our specialist team in Melbourne in our modern CBD office.

This role has come about due to continued success and organisational growth and team expansion. On joining the team you will be an active member of a collaborative, dynamic and technically skilled group. This is a sensational opportunity for a qualified engineer with a keen interest in Asset Management / Integrity Engineering to continue to develop their professional and technical skills, gain hands on experience and make an impact within a supportive team.

The Role

Our successful candidate will quickly be involved in providing consulting and engineering solutions, understanding the issues of key clients and responding by delivering improved outcomes while balancing integrity, performance and cost. After initial Company inductions and training, our selected candidate will quickly be involved in a variety of tasks.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Development of client proposals and scopes of work
  • Involvement in the development and implementation of asset integrity management programs using Risk Based Inspection methodology.
  • Evaluate asset information to determine hazards, failure modes and risk mitigations
  • Assessing damage mechanisms in oil and gas and mining industries
  • Utilise spreadsheet and database tools to capture and manipulate data; identifying trends and asset health concerns
  • Develop/review maintenance strategies using a Reliability-Centred Maintenance approach
  • Develop/review inventory spares management strategies
  • Fitness for service assessments
  • Setup and configuration of Integrity Management Database Systems
  • Development of client reports to communicate results and recommendations
  • Assuming ownership of small projects, managing from start to finish following Wood’s Quality Management System

As an Engineer in the Asset Integrity Management team, you will play a vital role in participating in our engaging and rewarding culture. We hope to see you partake in monthly Technical Knowledge Sharing sessions, as well as enjoying social team activities.

Qualifications

At Wood it takes a diverse range of people to achieve the level of impact we are having on the global energy sector. As a member of this successful team, you will have completed your degree / qualification and had ideally 4 - 6 years industry experience. We are looking for energetic people who are highly motivated, technically curious, have a 'hands on' approach, organised, proactive, self-disciplined and can push the boundary of their technical capabilities. Qualifications of the successful candidate will include:

  • Degree in Materials / Mechanical / Process / Chemical / Electrical Engineering from an accredited University
  • Further qualification in Commerce / Business / Data Analytics or previous commercial exposure would be advantageous
