Job title: Senior Engineer - Traded Risk Technology

Location: Sydney

Experience: 6+ Years

Key Responsibilities:

• Review the systems designs of others to ensure the selection of appropriate technology, efficient resource usage, and effective integration of multiple systems and technologies.
• Evaluate and conduct impact analysis on major design options, managing associated risks to ensure that system designs meet functional, service quality, security, and systems management requirements.
• Collaborate with diverse teams across the bank, including Architects, Solution Designers, Infrastructure, Operations, Functional Analysts, Business Teams, and Project Teams, to maintain strong relationships and ensure technology requirements are well understood.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Extensive experience with hands-on coding in Unix Shell Scripting, Java or C#, coupled with a robust understanding of SQL, including expertise in writing, and managing stored procedures.
• Proficient in Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with version control using BitBucket.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
• Skills in issue root cause analysis using tools like Splunk, SQL Developer, and AppDynamics.
• Proficient with Oracle 19c or other SQL databases.
• Experience in Market Risk or Credit Risk technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience in designing and running batch processes (Control-M) with a strong emphasis on integration and system connectivity.
• DevOps Competency: Solid experience with DevOps practices and Agile methodologies, emphasising CI/CD, continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant technical certifications in Java or C# and SQL are highly desirable.
