• Work Arrangements: 2 days WFH per week
• Australian Citizenship is mandatory for this role

Company Overview

BLACKROC is partnering with a forward-thinking government-affiliated organisation to recruit a DevOps Engineer to help shape and scale their cloud-first strategy. This is a great opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects in a stable and agile team environment.

Role Purpose

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the cloud and data infrastructure, prioritising key delivery items and working in a collaborative, agile environment. You’ll have the opportunity to implement best practices in cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code, and play a leadership role in cross-functional project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Artifactory
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform
• Write and maintain scripts in Python, Go, and JavaScript
• Deploy and manage containers using Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders

Skills and Experience

• Strong AWS and DevOps background
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
• Coding/scripting in Python, JavaScript, or Go
• Familiarity with cloud networking, security, and monitoring
• Experience with Git, Jira, and agile development environments

Desirable

• Azure experience
• HashiCorp Vault
• Postgres or MySQL admin skills
