We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer with AWS expertise to join our forward-thinking, highly-skilled team. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling and enhancing our use of Public Cloud technology and managing operations within a complex, multi-faceted environment.

Responsibilities


  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform
  • Remain informed on the latest AWS services, features, and capabilities, assessing their applicability to our business needs
  • Assist the team in automating processes relevant to cloud operations, including security configuration, account management, and cost optimization
  • Promote our Public Cloud offering to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and align cloud strategies with business objectives
  • Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior architects, engineers, and developers to cultivate a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement


Requirements


  • Deep understanding of AWS, including a thorough grasp of its services, features, and best practices
  • Experience constructing scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud platform solutions, adhering to security and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with AWS Control Tower, Cloud Adoption Framework, or similar enterprise cloud constructs
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation templates
  • Track record in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Comfortable working with 'Go' and Python to build APIs and serverless integrations
  • Fluent in software development best practices, with a passion for automation
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English


Nice to have


  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as GCP/Azure
  • Proven ability to translate strategic plans into technical deliverables
  • Knowledge of FinOps principles including cloud economics, cost optimization, and visualization
  • Practical experience with security and networking

Salary range €4.8K-€6.5K gross, based on your experience and interview results.
