Senior Software Engineer – AI & Elixir

We're partnered with a high-growth AI startup that is transforming how organisations execute strategy through intelligent, adaptive platforms. As they expand their engineering team, they're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Elixir and practical applications of LLMs or AI.

This is a senior-level opportunity reporting directly to the Head of Engineering. You’ll play a key role in shaping the architecture, mentoring junior developers, and building high-impact products from the ground up.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and developing advanced web applications using Elixir and LLM technologies
• Leading architectural decisions and contributing to product strategy
• Mentoring junior engineers and conducting high-quality code reviews
• Driving performance improvements and ensuring code quality
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across product, design, and data

What we’re looking for:

• Strong commercial experience with Elixir
• Proven experience working with LLMs or applied AI
• Solid web development experience with modern frameworks and tools
• Background in mentoring, leadership, or technical ownership
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Location:

• Remote within Europe – candidates must have the right to work in their country of residence
• Hybrid work also available from Helsinki HQ

Nice to have:

• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD and microservices
• Contributions to open-source or technical writing/speaking
