Network Engineer – Internet Service Provider | Bonn/Cologne Region

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain core and access network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
• Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues across a multi-vendor environment
• Perform routine operational tasks such as configuration changes, firmware updates, and patching
• Work closely with internal teams and vendors to resolve service-impacting issues
• Support customer connectivity and resolve escalated network faults in a timely manner
• Document incidents, solutions, and network changes to maintain up-to-date technical records

Requirements:

• Based in the Bonn/Cologne region — able to work on-site at least 3 days per week
• Fluent in German (written and spoken)
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
• Experience with any vendor — ideally Nokia
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Nokia DSLAM/ISAM or BNG (Broadband Network Gateway) platforms
