A leading organisation in the insurance sector is seeking an experienced AI Developer to join their dynamic technology delivery team on a day rate contract basis. The Role

You will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team focused on designing and developing scalable AI models and integrating them into critical business applications. You'll work across functions to deploy AI-driven tools, including custom LLM solutions, machine learning pipelines, and data-driven insights that enhance both customer and operational experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI and ML models tailored to business use cases
• Fine-tune and deploy Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Create effective prompt designs to optimise LLM outputs
• Integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align AI with business goals
• Build and maintain scalable software for AI tasks
• Support users and provide optimisation for deployed AI solutions
• Drive MLOps practices including monitoring and observability pipelines
• Research and implement cutting-edge AI technologies
• Write production-quality, cloud-ready code
• Contribute to prototyping, testing, and deployment strategies

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years’ experience applying AI in enterprise settings
• Strong Python skills, with experience in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP
• Proficiency in AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Hands-on experience with MLOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• REST API development, NoSQL and RDBMS optimisation
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithmic thinking, and scalable architecture
• Experience with prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning

Bonus

• Experience with recommendation engines, computer vision, or statistical modelling
• Familiarity with governance and change enablement in enterprise AI projects
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
