Back End Developer

Asenium is hiring Senior Backend Developers with expertise in Node.js, Java, or Python for a hybrid position based in Lisbon.

Location: Lisbon (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite per week)

Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend solutions.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs into existing systems.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues and provide timely solutions.
• Follow best practices in software development and Agile methodologies.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proven expertise in at least one of the following: Node.js, Java, or Python.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Portuguese is a plus.
