We are looking for a data scientist to improve and evolve forecasting models within a cross-functional team who are building digital products that provides demand forecasts and planning decision support for the customer supply chain logistics.
The digital products are used by a global audience, and are built by teams consisting of product owners, data scientists, software engineers and business partners.
The role:
The focus of the work will be developing, improving, and maintaining data science, machine learning, and data engineering models. In addition to the science and the tech, this will require the exploration and study of logistics planning processes within the supply chain. Communication with various stakeholders is expected and crucial to identify key factors impacting logistic operations.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have strong scientific background, business domain curiosity and proactive communication skills.
- Experience in forecasting, simulation, and/or optimization models, especially in logistics and supply chain.
- Affinity with software engineering practices in the data science space
- Cross-functional collaboration and teamwork
Tech:
- Production-ready Python code, review PRs, and contribute to maintainable, usable, and extendable codebases.
- Cloud services knowledge (GCP/Bigquery)
- MLOps tools (Metaflow, BentoML, KubeFlow, or similar)
- Infrastructure as Code, CICD (Terraform Github actions)

- Location - Amsterdam / Hybrid
- Contract - 12months
- ZZP or interim payroll
- ZZP -€85ph
- Payroll - €7000-7500
