Software Developer - Proprietary Trading

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain automated electronic trading systems in C++
• Collaborate with research, operations, and systems teams to deliver robust, performant solutions
• Expand the firm’s proprietary research platform, improving performance and enabling new functionality
• Develop and optimize low-latency, high-throughput infrastructure across the full technical stack
• Implement new exchange connectivity and trading strategies
• Investigate system performance, latency issues, and production anomalies
• Drive architectural improvements and long-term software scalability

What You Bring:

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and systems design
• Proven experience programming in C++
• A deep understanding of computing from the OS to distributed systems
• Comfort operating across varying levels of abstraction, from low-level networking to trading strategy frameworks
• Experience with Linux, distributed systems, and performance profiling tools
• A low-ego, team-first mindset with a bias for building clean, maintainable code
• Previous experience in a trading environment is a strong plus

Day-to-Day Tasks May Include:

• Writing and optimizing latency-critical components of the trading system
• Investigating exchange behavior and integrating new market protocols
• Extending and maintaining distributed storage and research infrastructure
• Profiling and debugging systems using microbenchmarks, tracing, and system introspection
• Conducting code reviews across engineering, research, and operations teams
• Building robust monitoring and diagnostic tools to support live trading
