Network Engineer

Penta Consulting are a technology service provider and leading outsourced partner helping to deliver professional and managed solutions across EMEA.

We're looking for an experienced Security Network Engineer to support one of our major clients onsite in Doha, Qatar. This high-impact role requires deep technical expertise, leadership, and customer engagement to support large-scale solutions and complex security network infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Cisco FTD firewalls for advanced threat protection.
• Configure and optimize Cisco ISE for secure network access control and policy enforcement.
• Monitor and respond to security events, conduct investigations, and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with network and systems teams to ensure secure architecture and operations.
• Maintain security documentation and support audit/compliance initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years in a security engineering or network security role.
• Proven experience with Cisco FTD (Firepower Management Centre, rule tuning, IPS/IDS).
• Deep knowledge of Cisco ISE (profiling, posture assessments, 802.1X, TrustSec).
• Familiarity with VPNs, segmentation, NAC, and SIEM tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive security mindset.
• Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, Cisco Security Core) are a plus.
