SENIOR FLUTTER ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Flutter Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. The client is the first “on-the-way” crowdsourced delivery platform. They utilize extra space in passenger vehicles by connecting people with items to send to drivers heading in the right direction. The collaborative model enables fast, flexible, scalable delivery that reaches 90% of all U.S. households. They work with consumers, small businesses, and extensive global brands to help with same-day and urgent deliveries nationwide. The community of 200,000 verified drivers has delivered to more than 20,000 zip codes — the country’s most significant local same-day delivery footprint. The client makes it easy to launch same-day delivery with no set-up time or expense with their mobile and web applications. At the time of purchase, customers can request a pickup in minutes and track their delivery from pickup to drop-off in real-time. They work with top retailers, airlines, and grocers to provide a faster, more efficient, and more scalable solution for same-day and last-mile deliveries nationwide.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience with Flutter, including building and maintaining production-ready mobile applications.
Strong knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin, especially for integrating native Android functionality within Flutter apps.
Understanding of UI/UX principles, with experience collaborating with designers to implement user-centric interfaces
Experience working in cloud-based environments, such as AWS, and with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of owning and maintaining mobile codebases, managing GitHub repositories, and performing regular refactoring and performance improvements.
Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex problems into digestible insights.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

Own the next-generation warehousing mobile platform (i.e., order management, barcode-scanning, RFID printing, shipment tracking), from planning through implementation and deployment.
Write and maintain clean, reusable, and reliable code.
Maintain the core functionality of the mobile app while conducting rapid experiments to test proof-of-concepts.
Manage and own GitHub repositories for mobile applications and libraries.
Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders – engineering, operations, and product – to develop novel solutions to scale the product.
Work with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
Apply experience and knowledge of industry best practices to support and continuously improve the performance, efficiency, and maintainability of the platform.
Partner with technology leadership to build technical strategy and effectively define supporting objectives and key results for the team to execute upon.
Occasionally, travel to a warehouse location to gather insights and learnings.
