We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team and play a key role in shaping and maintaining advanced cloud infrastructure.

This position focuses on using expertise in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to build scalable and dependable platforms supporting AI/ML initiatives for transformative drug discovery. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary group of technical professionals to advance healthcare technology by linking data science and engineering.

Responsibilities

Design large-scale, secure production infrastructure in AWS to support AI/ML workflows
Facilitate collaboration with data science teams to enable scalable model development through advanced environments
Manage containerized applications by deploying and optimizing Kubernetes clusters to enhance performance and cost efficiency
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve the integration and deployment of ML models and data workflows
Write automation scripts with tools such as PowerShell and Bash to improve system efficiency and minimize manual processes
Work with cross-functional teams to operationalize machine learning pipelines for consistent and dependable production use
Oversee cloud systems to ensure they maintain high availability and scalability, addressing any issues proactively
Document infrastructure layouts, configurations, and workflows to encourage team collaboration and knowledge sharing
Lead initiatives aimed at improving deployment strategies, monitoring systems, and operational practices
Develop and oversee monitoring and alerting solutions to maintain system health and reliability across cloud environments
Mentor team members by providing guidance and best practices in cloud infrastructure and advanced DevOps methods

Requirements

5+ years of experience managing cloud-based infrastructure and deploying applications using AWS and Azure
Expertise in container management tools like Kubernetes and Docker, demonstrating capabilities to optimize clusters effectively
Proficiency in designing CI/CD pipelines with tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins to improve deployment workflows
Skills in automation-focused scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch
Background in supporting secure and scalable production environments for machine learning or data science workflows
Familiarity with version control systems and collaboration tools like Git or GitHub
Insights into cloud environment optimization, focusing on performance tuning, cost efficiency, and troubleshooting challenges
Flexibility to apply modern DevOps tools and approaches to handle complex and changing technical demands

Nice to have

Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Background in advanced monitoring solutions or APM tools like New Relic or Dynatrace
Familiarity with AI/ML libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or SciKit-Learn
Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in healthcare-focused cloud systems
Skills in data pipeline solutions like Apache Airflow or similar platforms
