Back End Developer

About the Role

An experienced Backend Developer is sought to join a high-performing senior engineering team working on a globally distributed platform. This is a 12-month contract backfill opportunity, offering hands-on technical work across a modern, event-driven system built with C# and .NET Core.

You’ll work alongside a team of 6–7 senior developers, reporting to one of the technical leads. The environment is collaborative and engineering-led, with a focus on writing quality code, maintaining technical standards, and contributing to a long-term project with real career growth potential.

You Should Have

• A minimum of 5 years of commercial software development experience
• Strong hands-on skills in C# and .NET Core
• Solid experience with REST APIs, containers, and event-driven systems
• Familiarity with modern development tools including Docker, Linux, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, CI/CD, GitHub, gRPC, and SignalR
• Confidence working within a senior team environment

Nice to Have

• Exposure to frontend development
• Experience with Akka.NET or similar actor-based frameworks
• Background in high-availability systems, particularly in complex or industrial environments

Key Responsibilities

• Writing clean, maintainable backend code
• Performing code reviews and supporting team members
• Contributing to system architecture and design discussions
• Ensuring high technical standards across the development lifecycle
