Prosper Digital is a growing Shopify Plus agency looking to expand its Melbourne-based UX team (again!). We focus on creating great brand experiences. The ideal UX Designer candidate is ambitiously growing their design skills and isn't afraid to step into the world of AI to do this.

Working with our design team, we advocate for our clients' businesses and their users through developing clear user stories & journeys that help customers research and purchase products. This role skews more towards a 75% UI / 25% UX split.

We are searching for a team player who works collaboratively and is receptive to feedback to help them improve their skills.

About The Role

• Understand & Define — Develop a base understanding of UX research. Consider how user testing, interviews, data insights (GA & heatmapping) and client workshops can provide insights to influence design decisions.
• Design & Validate – Translate insights, data and user research into visual solutions & high fidelity mockups. You've got an eye for detail and the ability to spot errors in your own work.
• Design at scale – We work with local & global companies. This role requires awareness of designing for accessibility, creating or maintaining design systems, mobile-first design & working within the technical constraints of Shopify or Partner Platforms.
• Collaborate & Grow – Collaborate with team members to devise solutions for clients & share knowledge and ideas with the wider Prosper Digital team.
• Content Creation & CMS management – Develop an understanding of managing content on Shopify. This will improve how you design for it! Work with our team & clients to suggest ways to create web-first content, images & videos that are accessible & fast to load.

About You

• You can showcase 1-3 real-life UX, UI or web projects. Your example(s) should have a client you worked with and any instances where you were confined to a requirement, request or limitation.
• Proficient with Figma (Components & styles are your jam)
• Ability to understand and interpret a brief
• Knowledge of web design & UX principles
• Ability to work at a pace whilst maintaining strong attention to detail
• Budding client-facing and internal communication skills
• Previous eCommerce, interaction design or animation experience is a plus (but not necessary)
• Must enjoy dumplings and appreciate the subtle, gentle aromas of a morning brew on a breezy Melbourne morning
