Cyber Security Specialist

🔐 Principal Cyber Security Technical Professionals – EL2 Equivalent

📍 Location: Canberra, ACT (Hybrid)

🕒 Contract: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions

🛡 Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain NV1

This role sits within the Cyber Sustainment Section and focuses on maintaining and improving critical IT systems that support the department’s global operations.

🧠 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and expert advice across cyber security platforms.
• Support platforms related to Application Control, Vulnerability Management, Linux, PAM, and PKI.
• Deliver secure infrastructure projects in collaboration with security, operations, and project teams.
• Support existing environments while uplifting cyber security posture.

🔧 Key Technical Skills (Essential):

• Linux / RHEL / Redhat Satellite / IDM / FA Policy D
• Application Control: Carbon Black, WDAC
• Vulnerability Management: Tenable, RunZero
• Privileged Access Management: Delinea Secret Server, MFA, EntraID
• PKI: Active Directory Certificate Services
• Microsoft EntraID Cloud Sync

✨ Desirable Experience:

• EntraID Entitlement & Lifecycle Management
• Nutanix AOS/AHV, Prism Central, Hybrid AOS/ESXi
• Windows Server platform + patching
• VMware, Citrix, PowerShell, Ansible, EntraID Automation
