Director of Cyber Security

Our client, a multinational FMCG business, is seeking a highly experienced German-speaking Director of Cyber Security to lead their global security strategy and safeguard critical digital assets across Europe.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will play a pivotal role in defining, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive cyber security framework that aligns with business goals and ensures operational resilience. This is a high-impact leadership position requiring a proactive, commercially minded individual with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a deep understanding of evolving cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the global cyber security strategy
• Oversee governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Drive incident response and threat intelligence capabilities
• Collaborate with IT and business leaders to embed security best practices
• Ensure alignment with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)

Candidate Profile:

• Fluent in English and German
• Proven leadership experience in enterprise-level cyber security roles
• Strong understanding of global regulatory and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at C-suite level
• Experience within a complex, multinational environment desirable
