QA Tester - Mobile Application (225-617)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled QA Tester specializing in mobile applications to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented mindset and a passion for enhancing the user experience by ensuring that our mobile applications are free from defects. As a QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in our product development process, working closely with developers and product managers to deliver high-quality applications. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, identifying potential issues, and reporting them for rectification. Your ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and your excellent problem-solving skills will contribute significantly to the ongoing success of our mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies in bug tracking systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and user requirements.
• Conduct functional, regression, usability, and performance testing on mobile devices.
• Analyze testing results and coordinate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Participate in agile team discussions and provide feedback on software design and implementation.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation of testing processes, methodologies, and procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in mobile application testing tools and techniques.
• Ensure adherence to company quality standards and practices throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Perform root cause analysis of critical issues and recommend process improvements.
• Assist in the development of automated test scripts for repetitive testing tasks.
• Maintain open communication channels with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Tester with a focus on mobile applications.
• Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
• Strong knowledge of mobile operating systems, including Android and iOS platforms.
• Experience in both manual testing and developing automated test scripts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills paired with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and agile project management tools.
• Strong documentation skills for clear and concise reporting of test findings and issues.
