Senior Network Engineer - IT Operations Eng & Support

General Purpose
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be required to design, test, implement, maintain, and support our growing infrastructure. This person will also perform team lead responsibilities, collaborate with our systems and security teams as well as work to design, build and secure our infrastructure
Essential Duties
Implement products, platforms, software, hardware, or appliance-based solutions related to the enterprise network and security. Solve unique or complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Interface with management and vendors to develop and implement innovative solutions to meet business requirements.
Design, implement and support Campus, Cloud, Datacenter, Multi-site WAN/SDWAN, migrations and buildouts with disaster recovery planning and implementation. Plan and coordinate all network maintenance, installations, changes, and updates adhering to the Change Control Process. Perform network modeling, capacity planning, analysis, performance tuning, and configuration optimization. Analyze the enterprise network for security threats. Use network tools for administration, maintenance, automation, and visualization reporting.
Develop technical network solutions along with the associated framework. Inspect and document deployments, configurations, and management of the network infrastructure. Participate and respond to IT audits ensuring controls are implemented as required. Build strong relationships with other business units to understand business needs. Communicate complex details in a way that people can understand. Advocate for the end user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the products and understanding user needs
Education
BS/MS in Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Education
BS/MS in Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Skills/ Knowledge
- Must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT, configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., automation, cloud, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
- Azure architect or AWS solutions architect certifications are a plus.
- Candidate must have advanced technical skills and experience with L2 and L3 protocols and technologies such as IPSec, VPN, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, SPBm, QoS, 802.1x.
- Familiar with Aruba Wireless, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 ADCs & open standards.
- Knowledge of Juniper and Extreme routing/switching equipment is a plus.
- Experience with open-source and other tools to assist in monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis.
- Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexible schedule, including the ability to work nights and weekends.
