Software Engineer

Consulting Point is recruiting on behalf of a leading consulting firm looking for a Full Stack TypeScript Engineer to help drive digital transformation for their clients in the public sector. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact by delivering innovative, high-value digital solutions alongside multidisciplinary teams.

As a Full Stack TypeScript Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing microservices and applications using Node.js, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Vite, and related technologies. Your role will blend technical expertise with a clear understanding of business needs, delivering solutions that enable clients to achieve their goals.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience building microservices with Node.js
• Experience developing frontend applications using React and TypeScript
• Familiarity with Next.js and Vite
• Experience with cloud technologies (such as AWS or Azure)
• Experience using Docker, Docker Compose, and CI/CD (with GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins)
• Collaborative team-working within an agile delivery environment
• Ability to use online version control tools (such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab)
• Security clearance (SC) desirable; you must be eligible for SC (with no trips outside the UK for more than 28 consecutive days)

Desirable Experience:

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (such as Terraform)
• Experience with NoSQL or relational databases (with a preference for MongoDB or Postgres)
• Knowledge of accessibility, coding standards, and best practices
• Experience integrating Large Language Model technologies or using related tools
