Job Summary (List Format)

Location: Chicago, IL - Onsite/Hybrid

  • Serve as a back-end web developer for the overhaul and enhancement of an N-tier SLA management web application suite.
  • Develop efficient, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs using NodeJS on Linux within a cross-functional development team.
  • Deploy and manage NodeJS applications on Azure, leveraging cloud-native deployment infrastructure.
  • Participate in long-term brownfield development and tuning of existing software for an additional business unit.
  • Work independently to deliver high-quality, production-ready backend solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of security protocols such as Open IDC and OAuth 2.0 to ensure API and application security.
  • Utilize both relational and document-based databases within the application stack.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and multiple cross-functional teams to understand and implement project requirements.
  • Adapt rapidly to changing priorities, managing multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to probe beyond surface-level data and uncover actionable insights.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, interacting with resources at all organizational levels.
  • Strive to proactively identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain a detail-oriented approach while keeping the broader project impact in mind.
  • Execute duties in a self-directed, organized, and results-oriented manner.
