Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures across a global platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on security, Azure Cloud integrations, and next-generation connectivity technologies. This role also requires providing tier 3 support to ensure seamless operations and swift troubleshooting for the global data network.

Responsibilities


  • Design, develop and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure
  • Provide 3rd-level troubleshooting support for LAN/WAN alerts and issues
  • Maintain monitoring and reporting systems while ensuring accuracy and functionality
  • Create and update documentation for all deployed systems and solutions
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for non-business hours support
  • Perform administrative responsibilities like time tracking and status reporting
  • Configure and install various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS
  • Conduct network maintenance and implement upgrades, including security patches and service packs
  • Monitor performance metrics to ensure high system reliability and availability
  • Perform system resource analysis, trending, and capacity planning
  • Adhere to configuration and change management policies while implementing infrastructure changes
  • Collaborate with the security team to select and implement appropriate security tools, policies, and procedures
  • Engage with vendors and internal IT personnel for issue resolution and project collaboration
  • Stay open to flexibility and availability for 24x7 operational requirements
  • Conduct technical training sessions for internal teams


Requirements


  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in network engineering with CCNP certification
  • Expertise in network troubleshooting with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues quickly
  • Background in SDWAN (Silver Peak preferred), Next Gen Firewalls (Cisco Firepower), and troubleshooting routing loops
  • Skills in handling advanced routing technologies such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and LAN switching mechanisms like VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel
  • Qualifications in configuring Cisco ASA/IPS/ISE and Cisco wireless networks (WLC preferred)
  • Knowledge of network security protocols such as IPSec/SSL VPN, Cisco AnyConnect, AAA architecture, RADIUS, and TACACS+
  • Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus series switches and operating systems like Cisco IOS and NX-OS
  • Proficiency in protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SSL, and SNMP along with QoS configurations
  • Capability to troubleshoot asymmetric routing, TCP/IP protocol suite, and application load balancers
  • Experience with firewall cloud services like Zscaler and data center technologies (Nexus ACI preferred)
  • Background in working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Proficiency in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and representing teams in change/incident management meetings
  • Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills to resolve user issues
  • Resourceful self-starter with excellent documentation and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and tools
