DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer – Contract (outside IR35) | Hybrid (UK) | £550 per day | Immediate Start

Pulse Recruit seek a DevOps Engineer to own, enhance, and maintain robust deployment pipelines and infrastructure for a leading UK University.

You’ll be instrumental in managing DevOps processes across a Microsoft-heavy environment, working closely with developers to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in YAML, automating deployments across environments.
• Leverage tools and modules across PowerShell, Power Platform, Git, and others.
• Monitor application health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Diagnose and fix deployment failures, supporting continuous integration practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure DevOps best practices are embedded across the estate.
• Work with security and dev teams to identify and resolve vulnerabilities across the delivery lifecycle.
• (Bonus) Experience with data seeding to support initial environment setup.

Your Profile:

• Strong experience with YAML-based pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar).
• Skilled with PowerShell scripting and automation tooling.
• Comfortable navigating the Power Platform, Git workflows, and CI/CD.
• Solid background in monitoring, troubleshooting, and securing modern applications.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to guide and support developers.
