Chief Android Engineer

We are searching for a highly skilled Chief Android Engineer to join our team, driving innovation in cutting-edge Telecom solutions.

This role is instrumental in shaping native Android application development by leveraging advanced mobile and cloud technologies to deliver impactful and scalable products.

Responsibilities


  • Take a leadership role in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to align on project objectives
  • Define technical solutions that are optimized for customer infrastructure and business requirements
  • Make key architectural and design decisions to achieve technical excellence
  • Guide and mentor team members to foster professional growth and expand technical expertise
  • Maintain code quality and enhance performance through unit tests, debugging, and optimization efforts
  • Work with DevOps experts to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment efficiency
  • Research emerging technologies and trends to shape future product innovations
  • Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies to drive continuous delivery and incremental improvements
  • Resolve critical issues promptly to ensure the reliability of the platform


Requirements


  • 7+ years of experience in mobile software development
  • Knowledge of Android development practices, including TDD, unit testing, performance optimization, Firebase, and Google Play Services
  • Expertise in Java with a focus on advanced features such as concurrency, collections, generics, and streams
  • Background in SDLC models with experience using GitHub for version control and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Proficiency in designing scalable technical solutions tailored to customer environments and business objectives


Nice to have


  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Run, Spanner, Looker, and Dataflow
  • Background in using Google’s internal development tools, including Piper, Blaze, Cider, Critique, Mendel Flags, and GCL
  • Skills in C++ with a focus on concurrency, memory management, STL, and templates
  • Competency in Go to deliver efficient and scalable backend solutions
  • Flexibility to use Terraform for automating infrastructure tasks
