Frontend Developer

We’re seeking a skilled and creative front-end developer to join a Credit Risk Technology team, part of the wider Global Markets division. This is a high-impact role where you’ll play a key part in designing and delivering innovative web-based solutions for a critical area of a major global financial institution.

This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about building intuitive, responsive user interfaces and interested in working on technology that supports complex risk systems in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain sophisticated front-end applications that support credit risk decision-making processes
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and fellow developers to translate requirements into functional, high-quality UI solutions
• Enhance and support a shared library of reusable UI components used across multiple applications
• Contribute to UI/UX design discussions and ensure adherence to responsive and accessible design principles
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, including unit testing and code reviews, in a global Agile setup

About the Team

You’ll be part of a dynamic, globally distributed development team that supports mission-critical initiatives in the credit risk space and partners closely with business stakeholders across investment banking.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Prior experience in financial services, particularly in banking or capital markets, is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Proven expertise in responsive web application development with a strong focus on usability and performance
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with React and a solid understanding of component-based architecture
• Experience with front-end build tools and libraries such as Webpack and CSS pre-processors like SASS or LESS
• Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks, particularly Jest
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Experience working with cross-browser compatibility (especially Chrome and IE)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
