Senior Java Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Java Engineer to join our passionate team at Softeta, working on innovative software solutions for the public sector. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop high-quality software products that meet our clients' needs.

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design and implementation of robust and scalable backend systems. Your expertise will be essential in driving the technical direction of projects, ensuring best practices are followed, and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

Develop and deploy Java applications that are high-performance, scalable, and easy to maintain
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define project requirements and create technical specifications;
Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best coding practices;
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment;
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability

Technological stack - Java 17, Spring Boot, REST API, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Java development with a strong focus on backend systems;
Proficient in using Spring Framework and RESTful services;
Experience with Microservices architecture and cloud-based deployments (AWS, GCP, or Azure);
Strong understanding of database design and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases;
Good communication skills and the ability to work in an agile environment
