What You Will Do

Nasdaq’s Sustainability & Climate Advisory practice is looking for a Senior Analyst to contribute to our EU growth initiatives by supporting client engagements and working with both local colleagues and global colleagues across Nasdaq’s Global Sustainability & Climate Advisory business. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Client leadership & Delivery
    • Support complex ESG strategy, reporting and value creation projects for corporate clients
    • Serve as an advisor to clients on ESG regulatory compliance (i.e. CSRD, ISSB), stakeholder expectations and best practices
    • Support double materiality assessments & ESG risk management strategies
    • Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of client work through effective project management and oversight
    • Support carbon footprinting projects, climate risk assessments and net-zero strategy development

  • Practice development
    • Support global internal working groups cross to develop internal capabilities and tools to deliver scalable and impactful consulting services related to emerging ESG trends, regulatory changes and client needs
    • Collaborate with global team members, fostering a productive, inclusive and high-performance culture

  • Market intelligence
    • Monitor and interpret evolving European regulations and standards (i.e. CSRD, ISSB) & voluntary disclosure frameworks (i.e. SASB, GRI, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, CDP, EcoVadis)
    • Support the preparation of ESG-related disclosures, sustainability reports, client intelligence briefings & peer benchmarking reviews
    • Leverage in-house ESG data and analytical tools to produce decision-useful recommendations for clients
What We Expect

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Climate Science, Environmental Science or a related field is highly preferred
  • 2+ years of proven experience in financial services, ESG research/Sustainable finance/Credit Ratings, thinktanks focused on sustainability, or academic research institutes.
  • An advanced user of Excel & PowerPoint and in general tech-savvy
  • Fluency in English with highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A well-organized person, able to balance multiple assignments at once
  • Strong research skills (this includes planning and delivery, effective communications, multi-tasking, and time management).
  • High analytical skills with an ability to see the bigger picture while maintaining attention to detail
  • A great teammate who thrives in a collaborative and international work environment
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and balancing production volumes with high quality.
  • A colleague who shows initiative and is driven towards continuous improvement
  • Operate within local working hours

What Would Be Helpful

  • Being familiar working with data
  • Proficiency in calculating scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions, with demonstrated experience in key topic areas including setting inventory boundaries and accounting for supply chain emissions using multiple approaches (EEIO, LCA, supplier-specific data)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate viewpoints
  • Comfortable working in a team environment across hierarchies, functions & geographies
  • Knowledge of ESG regulations, ESG rating agencies & ESG investment strategies
  • Having a track record of working successfully independently and within a team
