Machine Learning Engineer (AWS)

I am currently seeking a Freelance Machine Learning Engineer to join a DevOps-oriented, product-driven team building an AWS-based platform. Your role is to support the creation of infrastructure and tools that enable scalable and governed machine learning operations.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of MLOps tooling on AWS
• Coach and mentor a team of eager, growth-minded MLOps engineers
• Use AWS CDK (TypeScript) to manage infrastructure as code (must have experience)
• Build self-service capabilities for model deployment, tracking, and governance
• Collaborate with users to gather feedback and continuously improve the platform
• Help establish AI governance and performance monitoring best practices

You’ll Thrive If You Have

• Deep expertise in AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SageMaker, API Gateway
• Strong skills in TypeScript, serverless architectures, and CI/CD automation
• Experience with AI/ML workflows (especially using SageMaker)
• Experience with ML pipelines, experiment tracking, model versioning
• Knowledge of AWS security and containerization (Docker, ECR)
• Background in building governed AI/ML platforms
