Interaction Designer

As an Interaction Designer at Coolblue Energy, you solve complex design issues with smart, user-friendly solutions. You zoom in on the details without losing sight of the bigger picture. You convince with your ideas, collaborate smoothly with stakeholders and know exactly which design is needed at the right time.

How do I become a Interaction Designer at Coolblue?

As an Interaction Designer, you will work in a multidisciplinary team on digital solutions. You will come up with smart ways to give customers insight into their energy consumption and how they can save on it. You will contribute to the Coolblue Energy services and products such as green energy, solar panels, charging stations, heat pumps and air conditioners. You will translate data and user insights into flows, prototypes and pixel-perfect designs. You will test your ideas, collect feedback and iterate your design. You will also be part of a design community with designers from other product teams to share knowledge, brainstorm together, challenge each other and make each other as well as the group better. You will work at our office in Utrecht, at home and sometimes also at our head office in Rotterdam.

You recognize yourself in the following

• At least 2 years of experience with UX or Interaction Design in a similar role.
• Strong in creating user-friendly user flows and visually appealing screens that solve real problems.
• Knowledge of UX patterns, libraries, design systems, UI kits and up to date with the latest design trends.
• Experience in facilitating workshops and creative sessions as input for the design process or to get stakeholders on board.
• Strong design process and experience with end to end UX design; from gathering user insights to creating/validating ideas, creating a pixel-perfect design and guiding towards an implementation.
• Familiar with tools such as Figma, Adobe CC, experience with prototyping and knows how to use it at the right time.
• Can present your designs convincingly and is always open to feedback.
• Has a portfolio of apps and websites that shows your involvement, process, decision making and outcome.
• Effortlessly navigates through complex challenges and brings structure where necessary.
• Takes initiative, asks critical questions and bites into new issues. The experience with agile and scrum
