Job Summary: This role functions as a strategic advisor to the C-level executive, contributing to high-level business decision-making through analytical insight, operational oversight, and cross-functional leadership. The postholder will play a key role in driving business performance by synthesizing complex data, managing strategic initiatives, and aligning internal and external communications with organizational priorities. This role requires a high degree of analytical capability, strategic acumen, and business judgment to operate independently and influence outcomes across the enterprise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Strategic Analysis & Insight: Lead the analysis of operational and commercial performance metrics to generate actionable insights. Develop executive summaries, decision-support models, and performance dashboards to inform high-level decision-making.
- Business Performance Management: Drive alignment between departmental goals and corporate strategy through the creation and management of key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify areas for improvement and propose data-driven solutions.
- Program & Project Oversight: Oversee the execution of strategic programs and initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders. Ensure alignment with organisational objectives and timely delivery of critical milestones.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Manage strategic communications with internal and external stakeholders. Develop executive-level reports, board presentations, and business briefs that articulate complex concepts with clarity and purpose.
- Governance & Compliance: Act as the custodian of critical business contracts, agreements, and audit-related documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements.
- Operational Intelligence & Research: Conduct advanced research and market scanning to support strategic business positioning. Synthesize findings into strategic options and recommendations for executive consideration.
EXPERIENCE:
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in a strategic, analytical, or business operations role supporting senior leadership, preferably within a complex, matrixed, or multinational organization.
- Demonstrated success in leading business-critical initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and executive-level reporting.
QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION:
- A Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, management, or a related field is required.
- A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or MSc in Business Analytics, Finance, or Strategy) is highly desirable.
CERTIFICATIONS (Desirable):
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management/process improvement qualifications.
- Data analytics or financial analysis certifications (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, CFA Level 1) are a plus.
SKILLS:
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Advanced ability to interpret data, derive insights, and synthesise complex information to inform strategic decisions.
- Executive Communication: Skilled at developing high-impact presentations, board-level reports, and business briefs that align messaging with executive and stakeholder expectations.
- Interpersonal & Influencing Skills: Ability to work across functions, influence without authority, and build trust with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Project & Program Leadership: Proficient in managing large-scale projects or programs, with a focus on timelines, risk mitigation, and value delivery.
- Business Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and understanding of enterprise-wide functions (finance, operations, strategy, risk).
- Tech Proficiency:
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Proficiency in data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Comfortable working with ERP/CRM platforms and business analytics tools.
- Judgment & Discretion: Exceptional integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information and driving confidential initiatives.
