Cyber Security Administrator – Dubai, Full Time


We are looking for a Cyber Security Administrator to join our client, who are a leading organization in Dubai. As a Cyber Security Admin, you will support the ongoing administration and enhancement of our client’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) and assist in the maintenance of enterprise security systems. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security protocols to protect IT networks and data assets.
  • Support senior security personnel in identifying system vulnerabilities and contributing to the development and deployment of mitigation strategies.
  • Help maintain technical controls designed to safeguard sensitive digital infrastructure.
  • Participate in the response to security incidents and malware threats under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Engage in real-time monitoring and analysis of security events within a tiered Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Utilize cyber defense tools to assist in the detection and response to cybersecurity threats, under the supervision of senior analysts.
  • Conduct research on emerging threats, documenting patterns, and staying informed via updates from external cybersecurity agencies such as CSIRTs and CERTs.
  • Contribute to the development of mitigation recommendations and threat analysis reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of regular security event reports, including trend analysis over time.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant work experience may also be considered.
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity and information technology.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, and hardware.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity risks across different technologies and familiarity with best practices for managing them.
  • Exposure to common security technologies such as firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify and understand potential threats and trends.
  • Effective collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Clear verbal communication, including the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Competent written communication for creating technical documentation and reports.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Resilience and the ability to work well under pressure, especially during security incidents or peak activity periods.
