Software Engineer

About the Role:

Join the global team as an SDLC Software Engineer and shape the developer experience for thousands of engineers. You’ll design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage large-scale artifact repositories, and drive the firm’s transition to cloud-native development. This role combines software engineering, DevOps, and SRE principles to ensure high availability, performance, and security across our SDLC platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Platform Ownership:

• Manage GitLab CI/CD instances (on-prem/cloud) and proprietary Configuration Database (CD) tools.
• Oversee artifact hosting & ingestion via Sonatype Nexus, supporting Maven, NPM, PyPi, and container repositories.
• Optimize high-scale parallel testing environments (millions of tests/day) and Linux/Windows distribution systems.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native solutions in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Serverless).

Engineering Excellence:

• Design and troubleshoot mid-to-large distributed systems (Java/Python/Go).
• Ensure 99.99% uptime for critical artifact repositories serving TBs of daily downloads.
• Partner with developers to enforce best practices in build systems (Maven, Gradle, Bazel).
• Debug complex issues (e.g., race conditions, network bottlenecks) in Linux environments.

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Mentor teams on DevOps/SRE practices (infrastructure as code, observability).
• Guide the engineering community on secure SDLC workflows and cloud migration.

• CI/CD: GitLab, SecDb ecosystem, Conductor Software Factory
• Artifact Management: Sonatype Nexus, Maven Central, NPMScopes, PyPi
• Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Serverless), Terraform
• Languages: Java, Python, Go, C++
• Databases: PostgreSQL

Must-Have:

• 7+ years in software development (Java/Python/Go) and distributed systems.
• Expertise in AWS cloud services and large-scale CI/CD platforms.
• Deep knowledge of build systems (Maven, Gradle, Bazel) and Linux/network troubleshooting.
• Experience with artifact repositories (Nexus, Docker Registry) and relational databases (PostgreSQL).

Nice-to-Have:

• Background in SRE/DevOps (infrastructure as code, monitoring).
• Familiarity with proprietary build tools (e.g., SecDb).
